Z Arts

About Z-arts Z-arts is one of Manchester’s best places to visit with young children, combining imaginative play, creativity and live performances all under one roof. Whether you’re popping in for a free toddler session, watching a family show or taking part in a hands-on workshop, there’s always something new for little ones to discover. One of our favourite areas is Toddler Takeover, a brilliant free space where babies, toddlers and preschoolers can explore themed play areas designed to spark imagination. Little ones can role play, build, create and let their imaginations run wild in a safe, welcoming environment. Most activities are completely free during term time, although some sessions, including the popular Make & Believe workshops on Friday mornings, do need to be booked in advance. Z-arts is much more than a theatre. Alongside its performances, you’ll find interactive exhibitions, creative workshops, family events and welcoming spaces where children are encouraged to explore through play. It’s somewhere you can return to again and again, with different activities and events taking place throughout the year. Parents are well catered for too, with an on site café serving
